Have you noticed an increase in breeding?

I think I have a few more Barn Swallow couples breeding this year - but I haven´t counted. This year they have made many new nests on places that I can´t reach without a lift. Yesterday when I recorded the video, I counted at least 30 Barn Swallow chicks in the barn, but still I don´t know how many were out flying.

Are your barn swallows on their second or third brood?'

They have just started the second brood. This is not a year like others I remember. The Danish spring and summer has been cold and wet. August started very nice and sunny so maybe we´ll get more insects for the little ones.
